Hip hop, the music genre, has not only grown from a city to the whole world, but has also grown as a music style on the whole with various subgenres to its creditable influence.
The musical culture of African Americans, hiphop was brought to New York City in 1970s. And today, it has transpired globally without any barring of race and colour. This musical culture reflects the lifestyle of Black community and has become their voice for expression. The coloured people’s unrest due to discrimination was vented by the way of Hip hop. With the advent of Hip hop, the gangster inspired neighbourhoods and drug infested streets indulged into dance and artwork battle rather than inner-city gang’s physical violence.
